Trees capture carbon dioxide naturally, through photosynthesis. This sequestered carbon is removed and can be stored long-term. Woodlands Carbon landowners demonstrate that what they do is quantifiably good for the environment. Woodlands Carbon landowners manage their forests in ways that create a greater capacity for carbon dioxide storage. By comparison, our landowners store more carbon.

Our family landowner carbon stocks were compared with carbon stocks published by the US Forest Service of all Western Oregon ownerships (industrial forestlands, non-industrial private, and public lands).

The carbon dioxide stored in these acres of trees is removed from our air, resulting in a healthier Oregon. Very few offsets purchased on the market have such a direct benefit to its buyers and landowners.
